2025 Tributary Photo Journal
April 1st: We are very excited to have kicked off another year of stream sampling! The wind was whipping but nonetheless it was a beautiful day to collect samples.
April 14th: What a beautiful day to be out collecting samples! We are so excited to be kicking off the spring and summer seasons.
May 22nd: After a month's hiatus due to an injury, our coordinator is back collecting samples with the help of our Vice President! It was a rainy day and the streams were flowing fast.
June 17th: The rains have finally died down a bit and so have the tributaries! It was a lovely overcast day to collect samples
July 2nd: After a bit of a dry spell the streams are running rather low. We were still able to sample from most of our sites and even saw some fun critters!
July 15th: We are halfway through the season and still enjoying our time sampling the streams. The vegetation is greener than ever and the water is still flowing!
July 31st: We finally got a break in the heat wave for a lovely, cool day of sampling. The streams were running quite low from the lack of rain.
August 14th: We have been experiencing quite the drought here in Franklin lately and the streams have almost completely dried up! Luckily we were still able to collect a few samples
August 26th: The drought has persisted into the end of summer. Because of this, all but two of the tributaries have dried up. We collected a handful of samples!
