On June 27th after some heavy rain, we took some samples! This is not first round of samples this year but the tributaries were definitely flowing the most that we’ve seen! These photos are from seven sites around the lake.
On July 9th we took another round of samples. It had been pretty dry for the past week so the tributaries were looking pretty low. Hopefully we will be able to get a few more rounds of samples in before some of them dry up for the summer.
Our latest round of tributary samples were collected on July 22nd. With the hot weather of the past week the tributaries were running pretty low and some were becoming more overgrown.
On August 5th we collected another round of samples! The tributaries were looking even more dry and overgrown but we were still able to get the data.
The latest round of samples was collected on August 20th and the tributaries were looking pretty dry. Most were not flowing so hopefully we can get another round in before the summer is over!
September 3rd brought us another round of tributary samples! They were still running low after a heavy ranfall a few days prior. This may be our last round of samples for the season!
September 14th was a great day for tributary sampling as some heavy rain the day before gave us a chance to collect samples in some tributaries that had previously dried up!
